Antoine “Tato” Garcia
With his album "El Mundo", Antoine Tato Garcia explores a resolutely modern rumbason. A rumbason where he frees himself from the codes of classical Catalan rumba to surf on Cuban sound and Mediterranean jazz. This synthesis leads the artist to offer a game that is more harmonically open and resolutely turned towards the polyrhythms that rocked his childhood. From ballads, imprinted with melismatic songs, to lyrical flights, passing through lines of energetic and melodious guitars at the same time, Tato tells a singular story. A story where love rubs shoulders with his questions about the world, as shown by his commitment to plastic waste management in the title “El Mundo”.
New album "Rumbason" coming in April 2022 on the Karu Prod label.

Steeve LAFFONT
Today, this star of the gypsy galaxy shines with the authority he exudes on stage, always surrounded by excellent musicians with whom he establishes a dialogue of magnificent and subtle depth. Rhythmic rigor, melodic virtuosity, ability to improvise, lyricism are with Steeve always brought to a degree of excellence with a constant bonhomie, as if the technical prowess were self-evident, the vertiginous jousts and dialogues, the tightrope walks and yet regulated with extreme meticulousness. (Jazz Magazine)
With his new album “Alba Gitana” Steeve Laffont is opening up new horizons. His personal compositions offer the ingredients of an unusual recipe: gypsy touch, flamenco scents, bossa nova ruptures, Indian spices, klezmer rhythms and Spanish colors. Steeve lets himself be lulled by what has made the very essence of gypsy culture: travel and the unexpected. The album is the story of this emancipation, this joy of now having no account to render, no legacy to respect but so many roots to germinate. (Celine Rousseau)
