We identify and develop artistic talents within the multi-cultural community, and facilitate the presentation of these talents to the widest possible audience

‘L’Afrique festival has established itself in the calendar of cultural events, since its launch in Newcastle in 2003. L'Afrique festival has built up a remarkable record of attracting some of the greatest names in African music. Amongst them, we proudly welcomed Manu Dibango (Cameroon), Fatoumata Diawara / Amadou and Mariam / Rokia Traoré / Vieux Farka Touré (Mali), Angelique Kidjo (Benin), Petit Pays (Cameroon), Mory Kanté / Sekouba Bambino (Guinea), Mighty Zulu Nation / Late Luky Dube (South Africa), NAZA / Lokua Kanza / Awilo / Werasson (DRC), Alpha Blondy / Meiway / DJ Arafat (Côte d’Ivoire), AYO / Seun Kuti / Ty / Tony Allen (Nigeria), Souad Massi (Algeria), Mayra Andrade (Cape-Vert) as well as many others.
