Maison des Cultures du Monde (World Cultures Institute, founded in 1982)
. The referent organization in France in the field of intangible cultural heritage. 
Its missions : explore, councel and train.The MCM actively contributes to increase knowledge of intangible cultural heritage performing art forms, as well as of their orgins, through the programming of performances, scientific work, publications, symposiums and calls for projects in partnership with professionals and the academic world. It is recognised today for its singular know-how in protecting and encouraging awareness of cultural diversity and was designated in 2011 as the « French center for intangible cultural heritage ».
